After trying to lose weight on my own for several years, it was hard to admit I needed help. That help arrived in the form of a pamphlet delivered to my mail box. Calling up about the weight loss challenge was the hardest thing to and since that day I haven’t looked back.
In my first 12 week weight loss challenge I won first place and lost 15.4 kg and 31 cm’s from my body.
The challenge helps you realise that becoming a healthy better version of you is not just about dropping the kilos, it’s about eating right, treating your body with respect, doing things you have never done before and then getting better at them and learning to love yourself.
The support from the coaches and other participants is amazing, it is an environment that provides nurturing and support with a healthy dose of competition.
The acknowledgements along the way such as the badges and compliments on how you’re looking provide the motivation to keep going.
I am currently in my second weight loss challenge and have lost 22.1 kg so far with more to come. Before my future as a 21 year old obese woman was bleak but now I am looking forward to a much brighter and fuller future. There are NO quick fixes involved, excuses will always be able to prevent you from doing anything, YOU have to make the choice to want to live a better life and no one else can do this for you but YOU! The sooner you realise that, the battle is half over, it is just as much psychological effort as it is physical. So what have you got to lose and to gain? I know I have gained a life worth living, you may just be the next person to do so!
